Energy Group Meeting

17 Sep 2012

What can we do locally to make the Green Deal a success?

Cathy Hough from Verco will lead a discussion on the Green Deal. Verco is currently conducting research for Bath & North East Somerset Council to determine how the Green Deal could best be delivered through a community based partnership.

The Green Deal is the Government's flagship green energy policy, which will make innovative finance available for low energy retrofit of homes as well as grants for more expensive measures like solid wall insulation. It has potential to help establish a local market in retrofit, with a role for local businesses and communities. How will the Green Deal work? What can be done locally to make the Green Deal a success? Come along to ask questions and share ideas.

7.30pm - 9.30pm venue upstairs at the Central Bar, 10 Upper Borough Walls, Bath BA1 1RG.

The Energy Group meets on the third Monday of every month (except December). Come along if you want to get involved with one of our current projects, or suggest a new one, or simply to get to know us!
