“Climate change – A review of current status”

Evidence for rapid warming of our world is unequivocal. In 2010 global average surface temperature reached a record high. Levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are accelerating contributing to global warming and ocean acidifications. In 2011 Arctic sea-ice almost reached a record low extent and attempts to limit greenhouse gas emissions are proving inadequate. The consequences of all these events are manifold. Some ideas of how we can help to tackle these grave issues will be outlined.
